Inspections: Restaurants, taverns, hotels, motels, commercial food preparation areas, hospitals, schools, daycares, swimming pools and institutions. Food Handler Classes: Mandatory every two years for all food service workers in Moberly. Participants are required to pass a test before permits are issued. Fees apply. Managers Classes: Mandatory for all food service managers & assistant managers. Fees apply. Food Testing: Food samples can be analyzed through the state laboratory in the event of an outbreak. Water testing: Samples of water can be sent in for testing to the state laboratory. The Environmental Health Specialist must collect the specimen for submission. Communicable Disease Surveillance and Investigation: All reportable diseases and animal bites are logged and followed up for control when necessary. Rabies Control: Rabies surveillance and testing available through the state health laboratory.
