Clinic

Clinic Hours: Office Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., phone (660) 263-6643; after hours are by appointment only. For a Public Health Emergency, call 1-800-392-0272 (Department of Health and Senior Services - Center for Emergency Response) or 911.

Immunizations: School age immunizations and tetanus shots are available at no charge. Flu, Pneumonia, Hepatitis A&B shots are available; check with clinic for current charges. Travelers needing immunizations specific to a country or region will be referred to the University Travel Clinic in Columbia, MO. Phone 1-573- 882-4590.

Primary Care: Basic non-emergency sick care provided by a nurse practitioner working under a collaborative arrangement with local physicians. Support and funding provided in part by the Randolph County United Way.

Family Planning: Physicals and health histories are performed, self-breast examinations are taught, contraceptives are issued, counseling on natural family planning. Sterilization and abortions are referred to other agencies.

Child Health Exams: (CHC) Children have their temperature taken, height, weight, hemoglobin, urinalysis, a physical exam and developmental screening. Hearing and vision screened. Routine childhood immunizations are given and participants are counseled and given the opportunity to ask questions of the nurses.

Wellness and Cancer Screening: Screenings for skin, oral, and rectal cancers. PSA, mammograms and pap tests.

Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar and Cholesterol tests: Available daily. Check for current charges.

Pregnancy Testing: Urine and/or blood tests available.

Sexually Transmitted Diseases: Diagnoses and treatment of syphilis, gonorrhea, Chlamydia, herpes, condyloma, hepatitis, vaginitis, and HIV/AIDS testing and counseling.

Dental Services: Limited services available.

Tuberculosis (TB) Testing and Treatment: TB tests are done on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Tests are not done on Thursdays. If Monday is a holiday and the department is closed no test will be done on Friday. Results need to be read 48 to 72 hours after the skin test is administered. If a test is positive referral is made to a physician for further testing. If a patient has TB and requires treatment, medications are available through the health department. Medications are free.

Laboratory Tests: Laboratory tests and procedures ordered by your physician. Check for costs of these services. Urine Drug tests are available to employers.

* Some services are offered on a sliding fee schedule to all Randolph County residents. The clinic accepts cash, personal checks, Missouri Care, Healthcare USA, and Medicare.
Some services are at no cost to the client.
